Condition
Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder affecting movement and motor skills, caused by abnormal brain development or damage before, during, or shortly after birth. Symptoms vary and may include muscle stiffness, weakness, involuntary movements, and coordination problems. While lifelong, early intervention and therapy can improve quality of life.
Living with cerebral palsy presents unique challenges, but at HEJJE, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our comprehensive rehabilitation programs are tailored to address the specific needs of individuals with cerebral palsy, focusing on improving mobility, enhancing independence, and maximizing quality of life. With a team of dedicated professionals and innovative therapies, we’re committed to helping you or your loved one reach their full potential and thrive.
Customized Training
Personalized exercises cater to the diverse symptoms of cerebral palsy, ensuring that each patient receives targeted and effective therapy.

Robotic-Assisted Rehabilitation
Early Intervention and Long – Term Monitoring
EARLY DETECTION OF PROGRESS
Our centre is equipped with robotics which allows for early intervention, targeting motor development in the critical stages of a child’s growth. Early detection and intervention are crucial for optimizing outcomes in cerebral palsy.
LONG-TERM MONITORING
Robotics can be employed for continuous monitoring of patients’ progress over time, enabling therapists to adjust treatment plans based on evolving needs and ensuring sustained improvements.
Augmented Reality and Virtual Environments
Motivation and Engagement
Our incorporation of virtual reality creates interactive and stimulating environments, making therapy enjoyable and boosting patient
Physical therapy
Focuses on improving muscle strength, flexibility, and overall mobility involving conventional PT, robotic rehabilitation and virtual rehabilitation and a designated paediatric rehab area.
Psychotherapy
Emotional well-being through individualized counseling, fostering positive family dynamics, and equipping individuals with coping strategies, peer support, and achievable goals, promoting a holistic approach for enhanced mental and physical well-being.
Recreational Therapy
Recreational therapy utilizes sports, games, and arts to improve physical and cognitive abilities.
Speech therapy
Helps with communication skills, including speech, language, and use of communication devices.
Occupational therapy
Aims to enhance independence in daily activities and improve fine motor skills.
Behavioural Therapy
Behavioural therapy focuses on modifying behaviour, addressing emotional challenges, and improving social skills.
Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT)
CIMT involves constraining the unaffected limb to encourage the use of the affected limb.

Adaptive Seating and Positioning Devices
SPECIALIZED CHAIRS: Customized seating providing proper support and positioning.
SEATING INSERTS: Cushions or inserts improving posture and comfort.
Neurologic music therapy is an evidence-based practice that stimulates neural pathways to improve performance. It uses music and rhythm to enhance various parts of the brain concurrently, promoting neuroplasticity, motor learning, and functional recovery. Combining music therapy with physiotherapy has shown positive effects on motor control in children with cerebral palsy.
ELECTRICAL STIMULATION (ES): Electrical stimulation is used to enhance activity performance, strength, range of motion, and flexibility in children with cerebral palsy.
GAIT TRAINING WITH ADVANCED EQUIPMENT: Functional treadmill training, combined with VR and biofeedback, is effective for improving walking speed and endurance in children with cerebral palsy. Robot-assisted gait training improves gait kinematics and kinetics. Robot-assisted gait training enhances postural and locomotor abilities, promoting neuroplasticity.
Neurorestorative therapy
(Neurostimulation and neuromodulation)
TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION (TMS)
TMS uses magnetic fields to excite brain cells non-invasively, improving cognitive function by modulating the cortex and enhancing neural network connections.
Brain-computer interfaces (BCIS)
BCIs, controlled by specific thoughts, enable individuals to restore some level of control and engagement with their surroundings.
